Abstract


INTERVIEW WITH İBRAHİM KOCA ABOUT THE BURSA MANUSCRIPT OF THE BOOK OF DEDE QORQUD

The Book of Dede Qorqud is a work that describes the social life, beliefs, and heroism of the Turks. In this aspect; The artifact, which has a special place for the Turkish language, history, and culture, also has an important place in world history in terms of shedding light on a period of the Turkish nation and in world literature with its literary aspect. These stories of the Oghuz tribe of the Turks provide a connection between the past and the future. There are four known copies of the Book of Dede Qorqud, which was written down at the end of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century. These are Dresden, Vatican, Ankara and Günbed copies. The Bursa Copy of the Book of Dede Qorqud was accepted by the scientific world when Bursa was chosen as the cultural capital of the Turkish world by Türksoy in 2022

The newly found Bursa copy of the Book of Dede Qorqud was presented to İbrahim Koca by Mehmet Sait Coşar, a religious official working in the Fadıllı neighborhood of Nilüfer district of Bursa in 2018. İbrahim Koca donated this work to the Muradiye Quran and Manuscripts Museum, which was opened by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality on January 18, 2019. In the museum, where there are many valuable manuscripts, the manuscript of the Book of Dede Qorqud attracts the attention of environmental engineer Mehmet Yayla while visiting the museum. Mehmet Yayla informs his friend Prof. Dr. Ersen Ersoy. Upon this, Prof. Dr. Ersen Ersoy announced to the scientific world that the Bursa copy of the Book of Dede Qorqud was found with a post on social media. On the Bursa Manuscript, Prof. Dr. Saadettin Özçelik Spring Good News of 2022: The Bursa Manuscript of Dede Qorqud, the most comprehensive publication was made by Prof. Dr. Semra Alyılmaz and Prof. Dr. Cengiz Alyılmaz on the Bursa Manuscript of İbrahim Koca and Dede Korkut Oguznameleri. 

In this article, information will be given about the process of donating the Bursa copy of the Book of Dede Qorqud to the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Muradiye Qur'an and Manuscripts Museum by İbrahim Koca, and then an interview with İbrahim Koca will be given.
