Abstract


NARRATIVE PROFILES IN THE SELİM İLERİ’S NOVELS WITH THE MAIN TITLE OF BODRUM DÖRTLEMESİ AND NARRATIVE TECHNIQUES (CONSCIOUSNESS FLOW TECHNIQUE)

Nowadays, just as the modern understanding of novels has replaced the traditional understanding of novels, the types of narrators in literary works are also changing. Modern narrator types are replacing traditional narrator types. This study which was conducted to determine whether the narrator types used in the Bodrum Quartet series written by Selim İleri coincides with the narrator types used in modern novels; it was aimed to answer the question of "Which narrator profiles, point of view and narration techniques- stream of consciousness- were used in the Serim İleri's novels titled Bodrum Quartet?".

This research, in which Selim İleri's Bodrum Quartet is examined in terms of the narrator types, point of view, and stream of consciousness technique, was designed according to the qualitative approach. Document analysis was used as the data collection technique in the study. The data obtained were analyzed and evaluated using descriptive techniques. In the study aimed to determine the narrator types and the stream of consciousness, the books "Bodrum Every Night,” "Death Relations,” "Queen of Hell," and "Twilight of an Evening," which constitute the Bodrum Quartet series of Selim Oneri, constitute the scope of the study. At the end of the research; It was concluded that the narrator types and the point of view required by the modern novel were used in Selim İleri's Bodrum Quartet and that the stream of consciousness technique used to describe the individual was used appropriately.
