Abstract


BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF STUDIES CONDUCTED IN TÜRKİYE ON MODES OF EXPRESSION AND WAYS OF DEVELOPING IDEAS

The aim of this study is to examine theses and articles published in Türkiye on modes of expression and ways of developing ideas through descriptive content analysis. The study holds an important place in the literature as it reveals the general tendencies in the related field and represents one of the limited studies conducted on this subject. In the study, the descriptive content analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was employed. Within the scope of the research, a total of 27 research texts were identified and analyzed. The collected texts were evaluated in terms of publication year, publication type, research method, sample characteristics, topic tendencies, and obtained findings. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data, and the findings were presented in tables through frequency values. The results of the study indicated that the number of studies conducted on ways of developing ideas and modes of expression is limited and does not demonstrate a regular increase over the years. It was also determined that the majority of the studies were articles and that student-centered samples were predominantly preferred. In terms of topic distribution, the findings revealed that studies mainly focused on examining ways of developing ideas and modes of expression in free text genres. Based on the findings obtained from the research, it was concluded that exemplification was the most frequently used way of developing ideas.
